James has driven for a 2nd year as he stands as club captain again in 2026. Unfortunately his drive went out of bounds. Senior captain Andrew and junior captain Kieran managed to keep their drives in play despite the large crowd. With no lady captain this year Kate as secretary took the ladies drive.
Fakenham hosted Wensum Valley Golf Club in the Cullington Cup first round on 3rd May 2026. The team led by Captain James won 4.5 to 3.5. Congratulations and good luck in the second round.
The new junior team, led by captain Kieran, played Kings Lynn in the Bass Trophy. Congratulations to Kings Lynn who were too good for our team on the day. Good luck in the 2nd leg at Kings Lynn on 31st May 2026.
Gary has taken delivery of a new fairway mower ready for the start of the new season.
In December Captain James, in the centre of the photo, hosted an open golf day in support of the MND charity. Nick from the MND charity spoke afterwards to the golfers about the charity and how it helped his own family. The day which included an auction and raffle raised £2546. Congratulations to all those involved in organising and supporting the event.
On Sunday 25th January Stephen scored a hole in one on the 4th hole. Playing with son Ben, Patrick and Nick. Nick seen in the photo with Stephen was the only one of the group that watched the ball into the hole. Congratulations Stephen (Dave) on your 1st hole in one at Fakenham Golf Club.
Emily won the County Medal scratch competition at Kings Lynn Golf Club on 22nd September. Congratulations to Emily from everyone at Fakenham Golf Club.
Drainage works have taken place on the 2nd fairway and on the approach to the 2nd green by the bunkers.
